Pannell Award Nomination

Every year the Women’s National Book Association awards this most prestigious honor in children’s bookselling, recognizing a bookstore that enhances their communities by bringing exceptional creativity to foster a love of reading in their young patrons.
We are so honored to be one among 18 general bookstores across the country to be nominated this year.
We now must submit examples of our creativity, responsiveness to the community's needs, passion, and an understanding of books to the judges for an April decision.
If you would like to submit an opinion or anecdote to help us win this award, please send to info@mainstreetbookends.com before March 13, and we THANK YOU!

" A community is the mental and spiritual condition of knowing that the place is shared, and that the people who share the place define and limit the possibilities of each others' lives. It is the knowledge that people have of each other, their concern for each other, their trust in each other, the freedom with which they come and go among themselves."  Wendell Berry
