Supporting the Community

Warner, New Hampshire
Simonds Elementary School
March 27, 2020

On the first day of New Hampshire’s lockdown, Warner’s local bookstore, MainStreet BookEnds, delivered 18 bags of books, games and art supplies for families of need in the school community.  Generous donors have called the bookstore wanting to help, purchasing multiples of $50 gift certificates to be used for the Simonds Elementary School children.  The bookstore worked with the school’s counselor and the students’ teachers to identify reading levels and age appropriate home activities.  Today was the first delivery of books and educational materials to the students. The public is encouraged to contact the bookstore to maintain ongoing donations.  Pictured are Guidance Counselor Linda Cermak, school principal Dr. Timothy Stokes, and Katharine Nevins, owner of MainStreet BookEnds.

Please consider DONATING a Gift Certificate to a family in need.  We are working with the Principal, Councelor, and teachers up at Simonds School to identify homes in need.  Each $50 Gift Certificate translates into a bag for a family. The need continues!! Call us or go on-line.

Here is what you can do to help the Bookstore

1) Continue to shop with us!
We will do our best to send out videos and personal favorites from the store on FaceBook and Instagram to help you have ideas and choices. I will personally give you a virtual tour of the bookstore and Gallery via FaceTime!
We want this new way of shopping to be fun and as easy as possible!
2) GIFT CERTIFICATES ~ Call us up and we can mail them out to your favorite families, or we can arrange for them to come to the curbside.  Then they can get books, toys, games and gifts as needed. Think about a regular "care package" coming into the homes you love.
3) REMEMBER we carry the bestsellers, amazing children's books and workbooks, art supplies, games and toys for all ages, cards galore, plus the wonderful works from our local artists. We can send you photos of their work to mull over.
5) FOLLOW us daily @mainstreetbookends
6) SPREAD THE WORD and we thank you!
